What You Will Do

Gannett Fleming's Camp Hill, PA headquarters is currently looking for a Transportation Engineering Intern to join us for the summer of 2018. Join our Journey!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares simple engineering and construction drawings from sketches or verbal instructions, utilizing computer-assisted drafting/design techniques.
  • Prepares drawings from markups, charts, and tables.
  • Performs related fundamental engineering support tasks such as filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations, proofreading reports, checking drawings and calculations, etc.
  • May utilize information from vendor prints, catalogs, technical manuals, etc.
  • Supports field assignments as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Intern must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited 4-year Engineering program at a minimum of a junior level
  • Must have a focus and interest in Transportation, Highway or Roadway Engineering
  • Experience with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with AutoCAD and or MicroStation preferred
  • Must have the ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both in person and in writing
  • Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork
